What is Charoite? 

Charoite’s origins are deeply tied to Russia and its folk traditions. The stone’s name either comes from the Russian word “chary,” meaning “charms” or “magic,” or the country’s Chara River. Charoite is a Silicate of Potassium Feldspar Metasomatite. It ranges in color from vibrant violets and lilacs to light brown and often contains white and black spots or swirls.
